Known around these parts as the Gas Capital of the United States and the friendliest spot in the world, Carthage is a quaint community of 6,500 and is a short 15-minute drive south of Marshall. Musical roots run deep in Linden, a wonderful community just 25 minutes up Highway 59. Music City Texas Theater, located in Linden, hosts music concerts throughout the year and is a highlight of the area.
