Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge

The 9-mile long Wildlife Observation Trail is open for horseback riding or hiking. This multiple-use trail is well marked. Largely an old railroad right-of-way, the trail allows good all-weather footing with only a few boggy areas present during wet weather. Ample horse trailer parking is available. For additional permitting regulations regarding horseback riding on the Wildlife Observation Trail go to www.caddofriends.org or call the refuge office at (903) 679-9144.
